McDonald’s USA Serving Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at Nine Louisville Area Restaurants During Limited-Time Test
We’re excited to share some sweet news from our friends at McDonald’s®! We’re partnering with McDonald’s on a small-scale test to offer three doughnuts, including our iconic Original Glazed® doughnut, at McDonald’s restaurants in Louisville, Ky., and the surrounding area. This is our first partnership with McDonald’s in the US as we constantly look for new ways to increase access to fresh doughnuts through our delivered fresh daily network – a key element of our omni-channel strategy to attain 50,000 points of access globally. McDonald’s USA Serving Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at Nine Louisville Area Restaurants During Limited-Time Test
Things are about to get sweeter for fans in Derby City. Starting Oct. 26, McDonald’s is beginning a small operations test of select Krispy Kreme doughnuts at nine restaurants in Louisville and the surrounding area.
We're serving up three of Krispy Kreme’s most popular treats:
- The Original Glazed® Doughnut: a melt-in-your-mouth doughnut covered in Krispy Kreme’s signature glaze. The doughnut that started it all.
- The Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut: a chocolate-y twist on the original, hand-dipped in chocolate icing and covered in rainbow sprinkles.
- The Raspberry Filled Doughnut: glazed and filled with a sweet, yet tangy raspberry jelly. A classic fan-favorite.
The doughnuts will be available all day, in-restaurant and drive thru only at participating test locations while supplies last. Customers can order them individually or enjoy six packs of the Original Glazed® or a variety of flavors. And the best part? In true Krispy Kreme fashion, they’ll be delivered fresh daily to restaurants.
McDonald’s is always looking for ways to give our fans more of what they crave, and we often conduct tests to inform future menu decisions. This small-scale test will help us understand how offering new bakery items like Krispy Kreme could impact operations in our restaurants.
